double chocolate bourbon milkshake

December 5, 2015

Happy Saturday! So yesterday @kevmasse posted a recipe on @thefeedfeed website for a double chocolate bourbon milkshake using @Williamssonoma peppermint bark. It looked so good that we just had to try it for ourselves! It is super easy to make and the bourbon-chocolate-peppermint combination is ridiculously delicious. This wintry treat is perfect for your next holiday party! Cheers to the weekend!

Double Chocolate Bourbon Milkshake
adapted from Kevin Masse
serves 2

1 pint chocolate ice cream, left at room temperature for 10 minutes
1 cup ice cubes
3/4 cup milk (non-dairy milk is fine)
1/4 cup chocolate syrup
1/4 cup bourbon
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

For garnish:
whipped cream
peppermint bark

Combine ice cream, ice cubes, milk, syrup, bourbon, and salt in a blender, and blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into glasses, then top with a dollop of whipped cream and a piece or two of peppermint bark. Enjoy!
