Something exciting arrived in the mail today! A thick manilla envelope was peeking out from our mailbox, almost too large to fit inside. Earlier this week we received an email from the publicity team at MacKenzie-Childs, letting us know they would be sending copies of the September catalog which features us! Every day since then, we have been anxiously checking the mail, waiting for the magazine to appear, and today we were finally able to see it in person and hold it in our hands.
We’re famous! If you turn to page 103, you will see our photo of the Aurora Spring cocktail, along with a profile of the two us. We took these photos ten weeks ago next to the large window in our living room, and now it feels surreal to see them in print. Inspired by our trip in May to the MacKenzie-Childs headquarters in Aurora, New York, we created a cocktail and garnished it with an all-natural Courtly Check pattern using activated charcoal. Simply made with equal parts gin, st. germain, aperol, fresh lemon juice, and an egg white, this refreshing citrusy drink is tangy and delicious. If you haven’t yet tried this lively libation, you should definitely go “check” it out.
